The aesthetics industry is a growing one, and it is vitally important that high standards of training are upheld throughout it. That is why the Cosmetic Treatment & Injectables Association (CTIA) was set up as an industry authority that represents medics and non-medics working in the aesthetics industry, and this year sees them celebrate their tenth anniversary.

The CTIA was set up by industry expert Molly Hanson-Steel as a regulatory service to the industry. It aims to make sure that practitioners work to the highest possible standards, keeping the public safe whilst allowing aesthetics therapists the opportunity to offer innovative and in-demand treatments.

In this day and age, an Aesthetic Therapist takes on a number of roles, which is why the CTIA are launching a whole how of new and advanced aesthetic courses this year. Having just moved to brand new, self-contained premises, the CTIA Training Centre is split across two floors which allows them to include a clinic environment offering treatments as well as providing top quality treatment. Giving students a clinic facility to work in provides them with a great opportunity to enjoy a real-life training experience.

The CTIA courses offer advanced level training with friendly expert tutors who have vast industry experience behind them. They accept students from all sectors, with each individual person looked upon by merit, qualification, experience and most importantly, their attitude. The CTIA produces aesthetics therapists who are not just competent but also passionate, well-informed and professional. The CTIA have led this sector of the beauty industry since they were formed and have campaigned for non medics to be openly accepted and recognised for aesthetic treatments.

The CITA also offers membership and insurance for aesthetic practitioners to ensure that all of their needs are met by one organisation. Our extensive network can take advantage of having access to a UK pharmacy, accredited first aid, anaphylaxis management, and managing complications include hyaluronidase training in the unlikely event of complications during dermal filler treatments. The best bit is that these courses are FREE when you join the CTIA.

Every aesthetic therapist needs to have comprehensive insurance in place to protect themselves and their clients, and CTIA insurance is not only wide-ranging and detailed, but is also the cheapest in the UK, with prices starting at just £380.

As the CTIA are a generous bunch, they are currently offering BABTAC members an amazing 10% discount on CTIA training courses to celebrate their ten years in business. To take advantage of this fantastic offer, simply quote BATAC10 and provide proof of your current BABTAC membership upon booking any courses.
