The Cosmetic Treatments and Injectables Association and Training Academy:
In 2008, the CTIA were the very first, Aesthetic Training Company and Association to offer beauty therapists and non-medics a progression route into aesthetic injectable treatments? With 10 years injectables experience in both training and treatments under our belt, we have led our sector and campaigned for non medics to be openly accepted and recognised for aesthetic treatments.
Who Do We Accept on Our Training Courses?
We accept students from all sectors, with each individual person looked upon by merit, qualification, experience and very importantly their attitude.
We have welcomed delegates who are:
Medics, Dental Therapists, Dental Nurses, Dental Hygienists, Beauty Therapists, Physiotherapists, Acupuncturists, Tattooists, Semi-permanent makeup practitioners, Phlebotomists, Pharmacists, Paramedics, and Bio Medical Scientist.
If your sector is not listed above, we most certainly will have a progression route for you into aesthetics with our ˜Bridging into Aesthetics Module’ which further information can be found on our Training Course Page, This will eventually lead you into injectables training with the CTIA.
With nearly 10 years experience within this industry, delivering advanced and injectables training, we know that our training methods are proven and work for our students.
Our ‘professional aesthetic training courses’ contain various elements; the theory module is taken as home study, with workbooks, tasks, research all done at your own pace and prior to your practical session. Once you have completed your practical sessions, we then require you to complete ‘case studies’ these will complete your training and reinforce your practical. Case studies help you to fine-tune your practical skills and give you a chance to analyse your treatments. They also provide us, as tutors a way to confirm that you are practicing in the big wide world, safely and skilfully on your clients.
Once you have completed your case studies, you will feel more confident and have the appropriate level of knowledge and experience needed to carry out your own treatments in your own clinic with skill and proficiency. However, our team of tutors, prescribers and mentors will always be there to help.
Why Choose the CTIA?
We differ to other training companies, as our students learn their craft, either on a ‘one to one’ basis or in ‘very small groups’. It is intensive training.
We can also travel to you; we find it more personal for the learner when we carry out training in your own clinic or salon and it saves you the upheaval of having extra days out of work travelling when we can do that for you. It also gives us a chance to see where you work from, and to advise you if there is anything that needs addressing or perhaps you may need important advice on waste disposal or clinical waste or even advise on where a hand washing sink can be placed within your room. Other aesthetic training companies don’t do this, as it isn’t cost effective for them.
*99% of our student opt for one to one training in their own salons.
We have witnessed multiple principle courses being taught within less than a week, which in effect, benefits the school rather than the learner. The CTIA believe this is wrong, dangerous to the public and provides the sector with apprehensive, nervous and unskilled practitioners. We believe that any injectables or aesthetic training courses should be taught as intensive study, however not combined with other modalities.
We hope that you agree; education should be about the student embarking onto their new career confidently, and initially working with the skills learnt to then further progress onto another. Learning should be competency based and not quantity. Therefore, if for any reason you do not feel confident in any way, our philosophy is that we will provide you with the extra free training at our CTIA training centre to get you to the level to offer the best treatments in the industry.
