ACCREDITED COURSES

Insurance and VTCT Accredited Courses

Please find the CTIA accredited training courses below, which are delivered through the ‘Cosmetic Treatments and Injectables Academy’. We are the leading training provider of injectable, and advanced aesthetic treatments and training.

The applications and methods of injectable treatments differ vastly between wrinkle relaxers and Dermal Filler, and for those without any experience working with needles, it can be very intense. Therefore, we offer a ‘step by step’ approach to teaching to promote safety, confidence and best practice within our sector and is unique within our industry.

CTIA Training Courses may be taken at our beautiful training school in Warrington or within your own salon/clinic on a ‘one to one basis’. If we come to you, we require at least 6 – 10 models for your practical session of your training. Pre-study including research, and tasks are a requirement of this unit. Training continues with assessments, mandatory case studies, witness statements and evidence of application as part of your on-going education.

Master Class and Bespoke Courses are additional courses for CTIA members and those who are already delivering quality injectable treatments and who want to enhance their learning to expand their skills and knowledge. As part of your membership to the CTIA you will be able to choose ‘inclusive of your monthly CTIA membership fee’ one of our masterclass courses.

Refresher Courses are offered to all CTIA members so that you can ‘review’ your skills or to ‘revise’ what you have already learnt. We provide workshops to our members on a drop in basis once a month at our Warrington training school.

BIOFIL
BIOFIL®

˜Its the treatment that’s revolutionising dermal fillers’

What is BIOFIL®

This is the most amazing treatment that you will ever do!

BIOFIL® is our own registered trademarked treatment; one of its kind and the very first training course delivered and developed in the UK using our BIOFIL Gel.

A treatment developed by the CTIA, using their methods to create Autologous (your own) platelet gel. Derived from your very own 100% blood plasma, eliminating the risk of any type of reaction, or risk factor associated with synthetic and animal based dermal fillers.

This revolutionary treatment replaces all types of common types of dermal filler such as ‘hyaluronic acid’.

Who Can Do BIOFIL?

This training course is for those experienced in the application of dermal fillers.

What are the Benefits of BIOFIL®?

  1. Made from your clients own blood plasma
  2. Ideal for salon owners and clients alike, who are concerned about using synthetic and artificial products or even products tested on animals.
  3. Perfect for Vegans.
  4. There is NO chance of it being tested on animals
  5. Platelets are produced in extremely high volumes, thus producing more BIOFIL® gel to attend to more areas in one go.
  6. BIOFIL is much more cost effective to you and your clients. As the BIOFIL gel is made up of your very own 100% blood plasma, costs are minimal.
  7. It perfect choice for your anti-ageing treatment
  8. Works with growth factors and produces collagen to actually reverse ageing.

The Science:

The inclusion of the buffy coat of platelet and leukocyte-enriched plasma has several beneficial effects.

Various cytokines and mediators found in the platelets and dense granules can promote angiogenesis (development of new blood vessels) and collagen synthesis, thereby enhancing soft-tissue healing. These factors include platelet-derived growth factor, platelet-derived epidermal growth factor, fibroblast growth factor, transforming growth factor, and platelet-derived angiogenesis factor.

These mediators have been found to accelerate epidermal regeneration and angiogenesis and to enhance collagen synthesis. In addition to the growth factors listed above, release of local thrombin, thromboxane A2, and adenosine diphosphate from the platelet granules attracts additional platelets, enhancing the haemostatic response.

In a nutshell; the best ever treatment to reduce ageing; the BIOFIL® Plasma Gel injected into specific areas of the skin and face, act as a matrix that promotes your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue, and thus acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin.

What’s even better, is that after 3 to 4 treatments its reported to become permanent. Lasting longer and longer each time!

Areas we can work on with BIOFIL:

Any area but more commonly:

  1. Lip plumping
  2. Cheek lifting and volumising
  3. Eradicating Fine lines
  4. Nose to Mouth Lines
  5. Marionettes
  6. Chin augmentation
  7. Jaw refining and Sculpting

In fact, every area that you can use dermal fillers in, you can work with BIOFIL. As we’ve said before; its revolutionary within the field of aesthetics and the CTIA are bringing it into your very own salons and clinics (or at least one near you)!

NEW – Introduction into Injectables for Beauty Therapists

NEW COURSE - wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers introduction to injectables

Introduction into Injectables:

Our new and exciting ‘combination course’ for Level 3 Qualified Beauty therapists, Dental nurses/therapists, Physiotherapists, and other Health care professionals.

We have previously only offered ‘one modality’ courses ie; Wrinkle relaxers or dermal fillers – never a combination of them both. The reason being that historically, if there have been students attending courses from other schools who are undertrained, and require refresher training, its because they’ve learnt too much, in too big a class in a short period of time with multiple modalities.

Why the turn about?

We’ve had students argue their case regarding combination courses for years, and the need to offer a treatment package to their clientele, as who wants to go to a practitioner who can only offer either wrinkle relaxing or dermal fillers? We hear you! However to roll out this course we wanted to offer something different to ensure that we keep our standards and provide the industry with the best injectors to clients.

So here’s the deal:

October 2017 see’s the launch of our duel-disciplined course. A combined course for students that will cover both ‘basic’ wrinkle relaxers and ‘basic’ dermal fillers. We are still keeping our stringent criteria on the basis that this course is ONLY offered on a ‘one to one’ basis, and ONLY offered as an ‘intensive course’ in your own salons or clinic. We are offering this course working with our prescribers for prescription services and our insurance company.

How long is the Course?

2 days – home study and research paper.

1 day – First aid, anaphylactic management and managing complications (including a half day hyaluronidase course), at our Warrington training school. This day a complementary course for members only and is FREE to all members yearly as part of your CPD.

2 days practical – basic wrinkle relaxers and basic dermal fillers. This will be on a one to one, in your own salon/clinic with intensive practical training.

Areas you will learn on your course:

wrinkle relaxers – (frontalis, glabella, and oculi muscles or in layman’s terms – frown, crows feet, upper forehead).

Dermal fillers – Lip boarder (Paris Lip) and fine lines around the cheek, jaw and chin areas.

Models:

You will require 10 models. Models may have combination treatments of both wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers. The cost of treatments is massively reduced to compensate for you being a student. However their treatment will not be compromised, as you will be continuously supervised and mentored.

Case Studies:

We require 10 case studies on each modality once you are certificated. Documentation will be provided to you and will need to be sent to us along with photographs detailing your treatment and including witness statements and treatment evidence. This will be covered in depth during your training.

Assessment Day:

Once you have completed your case studies, you will be invited back to our training school in Warrington for an assessment day and a refresher if required. You may bring your own model (you may charge your own models and bring along product). This is the chance to go over any areas that you may feel need addressing. We are always there to help you.

Membership:

Membership is £29.95 per month.

  1. Our courses are only open to members of the CTIA for regulation and compliance. As part of your membership you will gain discounted insurance starting from £800 + IPT (other companies are approx. £1500)
  2. FREE  – Yearly first aid, anaphylactic management and managing complications day.
  3. Prescribing network and your own allocated prescriber and clinical oversight.

Using your body’s own growth factors in order for the skin to repair and rejuvenate; also called PRP or the Vampire facelift. This treatment can be used either as a stand-alone treatment for your clients or is ideal to compliment other treatments such as dermal Rollering, Derma Pen or Mesotherapy.

Once plasma is injected into the skin, a large amount of growth factors are released to stimulate the soft tissue regeneration, therefore PRP can be used in place of dermal fillers or alongside them for the best results.

We have a peel product for every skin type and condition. Sclerotherapy
Who can study on this course?

Entry level for botulinum toxin training is typically an NVQ L3 in Beauty Therapy, Nurse, Pharmacist, Dental Nurse/Therapist, Physiotherapist. Other selected health care professionals and suitably qualified persons may also be considered, therefore please contact us if you come under this category.

Course Overview:

This treatment is undertaken to treat the very fine unsightly capillaries normally found on the legs by Injecting Sclerosants into superficial veins. Sclerotherapy remains the most reliable to remove these capillaries and it involves injections with a sclerosing fluid into the vein.

The solution causes the lining of the vein to swell and become ‘sticky’, thus blocking blood flow to the area.
It is a fairly pain free procedure and clients can resume their normal activities immediately. Compression stockings are worn for 10 days to retain pressure on the veins and to keep the blood from re-entering the veins and to keep them closed.

When the stockings are off, the area treated may look bruised and the veins may look worse before they look better but there is a 70-80% success rate, with the veins fading gradually over a 6 month period.

Dermal Rollering/Derma Pen
Course Overview:

Using a 0.5mm and 1.0mm Dermal Roller or Derma Pen on your training – this treatment is undertaken to treat all kind of skin problems where the body uses its own natural healing process to alleviate fine lines, appearance of scars, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, stretch marks, sun damaged skin, cellulite and even hair loss wrinkles. Micro skin needling encourages Collagen and Elastin production within the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections making the skin smoother, brighter, healthier and younger looking.

Dermal Rollering is carried out using an implement covered in tiny micro-needles which penetrate through the top layer of the skin without damaging them. The channels made in the skin are tiny and heal very quickly. As the skin heals it gives enough time for the serums to penetrate deep into the lower layers (where collagen is produced) of the skin which is fundamental to the treatment and the results. It is what makes the treatment as effective, as the skin soaks up the products applied. It has been said that it is 10,000 times more effective than applying products topically.

You will carry out treatments on clients with and without serums on the face.

Please be prepared to have a treatment on your training.
