We are always looking to increase our team of prescribers into our network throughout the UK. We require doctors and nurses to carry out face to face consultations for our training sessions as well as providing a service for our delegates once training has been completed and insurance has been obtained.
We work closely with our prescribers maintaining a professional relationship ensuring that our trainees are adhering to our strict policies and procedures and that malpractice insurance is in place upon renewal. Client safety is paramount.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council’s position on the supply and administration of Botox® and other injectable medicines in cosmetic procedures:
Under current medicines legislation an independent nurse prescriber can administer parenteral medicines such as Botox® purified neurotoxin complex in cosmetic procedures on his/her own initiative or give directions for someone else to do so.
This would be after a face to face consultation with the client to asses treatment can be carried out; the prescriber can thus delegate the responsibility to an aesthetic therapist or non-prescribing nurse to then carry out the treatment.
We at the CTIA have strict guidelines to ensure that treatments are only carried out after a face to face consultation has been done to establish client suitability of treatment and the possibility of any rare contraindications to treatment.
If you like to work alongside the CTIA and to be part of our ever expanding team of prescribing nurses or doctors, please contact us on: 01988 501082 or via email and we will be in touch very soon.
